Add Me to Search: Create Your Virtual Google Card!!
Google’s new ‘People Card’ allows individuals to link their websites, social profiles, and other related pages from one place.
In a limited startup, Google is examining virtual business cards in search results that appear when a person’s name is searched.
Now roaming in India, Google’s new ‘folk card’ allows people to elevate themselves in search results as never before.
How to Create a People Card
Step 1: Search “Add Me to Search”
Enter the query “add me to search” and you’ll the option to create a people card at the top of the screen.

Tap on “Get started” to begin creating your card.
Step 2: Fill Details
Fill out your information. Tap the button to get started. You’ll see the following screen:

Required fields appear first, which are:
- Name
- Location
- About
- The job
Below the Required fields, you will find a section of additional information which you can add if you wish.
The fields shown in the screenshot below are all optional. Add as many as you like or as many as you like.
Google will let you add links to the following social profiles:
- SoundCloud
- YouTube
For the most part, you will be able to record all the information manually. There are two exceptions – email and phone numbers.
Google automatically generates an email and phone number field with the information in your Google Account. You can’t change the email or phone number on your people’s card without changing it in your Google Account.
Of course, you can choose not to display those fields at all if you do not want to reveal your personal email or phone number.
Step 3: Search On Google
After filling in your fields in Step 2, there is only one thing left to do before the card goes live.
Once you are satisfied with what your card looks like, save it and it will be immediately listed in search results.
Just look at your name to see what appears in the search results after it goes live.

That’s all here. Note that Google’s Lok Card will only be visible to searchers in India.
Google has no idea when this feature will reach other countries. But if you set up one now, you will be ready for a comprehensive rollout.
Not From India?
People outside India have been able to set up their own people’s cards using VPN.
Aleda Solis successfully added a screenshot of her people’s card to Twitter in search results:
Solis notes that he was able to do this by going to Google’s mobile version via a VPN.
More Information About People Cards
Getting attendance in search results individually can be challenging, especially for those who are not famous or share the same name with many others.
For researchers, finding information about specific people can be challenging if they do not have a strong online presence.
Google aims to address these challenges with people’s cards:
Today, we are solving these challenges with a new feature called people cards. It’s like a virtual visiting card, where you can highlight your existing website or social profiles you want people to visit, plus other information about yourself that you want others to know.
People’s Cards are designed for business professionals, performers, influencers, entrepreneurs, job seekers, freelancers, or anyone looking to increase their presence online.
A People’s Card may include a website link, links to social profiles, and any other information you want people to know about you.
When you search for someone’s name, and they have a folk card, you’ll see a medallion with their name, occupation, and location. The module can be tapped to view the complete card.
